PRA-103 Peak Recording Accelerograph
Model PRA-103 detects and records peak amplitudes
of low-frequency accelerations caused by events such as earthquakes,
strong winds, blasting, and pile driving. It permanently records
peak acceleration values for three orthogonal axes on magnetic
tapes. Applications include back-up monitoring for conventional
accelerograph systems in nuclear power plants, drilling rigs,
dams, buildings, and offshore structures. Model PRA-103’s are also used to record peak accelerations in locations without
power or with a maximum temperature between 70 and 150 degrees
C. They are also used to monitor shipping-induced accelerations
during transportation of delicate items. Models are available
with a full-scale range of +/- 0.5, 1, 2, or 5 g. |
